So informative! I feel confident taking the next step to keeping bees.

This was a well designed course, run by Benedict Hughes, a very knowledgeable 'Practical Beekeeper'. Benedict provided a wealth of information to help us get started with backyard beekeeping and he was happy to answer all questions from the group. We went from having a level of anxiety about whether we could be backyard beekeepers to an understanding that we can do it, although there will be a lot more learning required as we go along. Benedict helped us to develop a respect for the bee colonies themselves and to understand our responsibilities as beekeepers and the complexities involved in practical backyard beekeeping.

Was a very interesting and informative day with a very knowledgeable instructor. It was a shame that the heat prevented us from opening the hives but we felt we learnt what we needed to know to get started.
